Truck Driver Non CDL Local No Weekends

Position Description

Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Non‑CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Indianapolis, IN.

• Weekly pay: $925 or more per week.
• Hours per week: 40+ hours.
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.39 per mile with 901 miles per week.
• Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop with 48 stops per week.
• Paid training.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, no weekends.
• Start time: early AM.
• Duty area: 80‑mile radius of Indianapolis, IN (local home‑daily).
• Truck types:
  Box truck 16', 22' & 26'.
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate & hand truck;
  Ryder will train you on all equipment.
• Freight: touch‑on auto parts.
• Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance; company fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.
• Uniform & boot allowance provided.
• Paid personal time off starts day 1; 80 hours accrued in first year.
• Paid personal time policy: unused balance paid at hourly rate.

• Safely drive a vehicle and comply with all safety regulations.
• Continuous training and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and agency rules.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading per customer requirements.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience.
• Must have verifiable driving experience on similar equipment (straight truck or box truck).
• Experience evidence: 6 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years).
• Pass DOT physical.
• Pass Ryder road test.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
• Additional screening may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records, and/or customer requirement badging/background.
