Position:
Team Leader
Shift: 1st Mon-Fri
Pay: $21/hour
Core Responsibilities- Prioritizing, scheduling and planning tasks for assigned department.
- Freight and truck scheduling and planning for inbound and/or outbound shipments and maintaining accurate BOL’s (Bills of Lading).
- Coordinating tasks and schedules across all departments, including shipping, receiving, inbound and outbound freight.
- Experience using a commercial WMS such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, etc.
- Microsoft Office software, including Excel is required.
- Hands‑on role spent most of shift on the warehouse floor and moving to and from multiple areas, including extended periods of standing and walking.
- Oversees and supervises the direct labor force, coaching employees as necessary.
- Opens and closes facilities as needed—including any associated security procedures.
- Assists team members in achieving daily operational targets and objectives, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Conducts physical inventories and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and mitigate discrepancies.
- Regularly performs general inspections to ensure the workspace meets safety and operational standards.
- Ensures adherence to food safety and quality guidelines, maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Utilizes and navigates the Warehouse Management System to monitor and improve team productivity and resource allocation.
- Is responsible for the security and application of good warehousing inventory practices.
- Complies with all government and company safety rules.
- Is responsible for the safety of employees in their assigned area.
- Reports promptly to supervision any safety violations, safety non‑compliance of facilities and equipment, and other safety issues.
- Operates, trains, and coaches others on all equipment used in their area of responsibility.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Familiarity with MHE preferred.
- Strong command of the English language, enabling clear and effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Supply Chain, Wave Planner, Scheduler, Auditing, Product Compliance, Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Coordinator, Lead, Transportation Clerk, Dispatch.
