Senior Freight Forwarder – Air Export

Full Time

As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of freight forwarding operations, arrange shipments, coordinate with carriers and logistics providers, prepare documentation, and ensure timely delivery. You will oversee a team of freight forwarders, work closely with clients, and apply strong industry knowledge, leadership skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Manage and oversee all aspects of freight forwarding operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Coordinate with carriers, logistics providers, and customs brokers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of shipments.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping and customs documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
• Manage and mentor a team of freight forwarders, providing training and support as needed.
• Communicate regularly with clients to ensure their shipping needs are being met and provide updates on shipment status.
• Monitor industry trends and developments, adjusting operations to stay competitive and meet customer demand.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in freight forwarding, such as IATA or NCBFAA, are preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience managing a team and working with clients is preferred.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Basic mathematical calculation skills, such as calculating costs and rates.

• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software and systems.

Expected base pay: $52,500 – $71,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
