This position coordinates the transportation of all inbound and outbound shipments and reports directly to the Distribution Center Manager.

• Determine the most economical shipping methods considering freight rates, customer requests, and back‑haul opportunities.
• Generate and publish delivery and shipment schedules.
• Reconcile freight issues such as demurrage, fuel surcharges, and billing discrepancies.
• Track and record service provider statistics, e.g., on‑schedule performance and customer accommodation.
• Initiate preventive actions as needed.

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
• Two or more years in a transportation coordinator role or related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and work experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing variables with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work any shift.

• Previous experience with SAP and/or JDE; other ERP software experience is a plus.
