We are seeking a Fleet Dispatcher for County Materials at Maxwell, IN.

Job Duties
  • Plan and organize loads within region to dispatch trucks to meet customer requests and production team activities.
  • Communicates with customers to determine driver demand and driving schedules.
  • Notifies drivers of assignments and enters assignment data into a computer database.
  • Prepare delivery tickets for drivers and respond to inquiries from drivers.
  • Utilize multi-line phones, two-way radios, and computer software for data entry and route coordination.
  • Performs administrative duties.
Work Environment
  • Indoor office environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent Sitting.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of dispatching experience in a related area within the trucking or transportation industry.
  • Adequate combination of education/service years/experience will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the trucking industry.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Assertive, self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail while performing a variety of tasks is a must.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Intermediate level in MS Office:
    Outlook, Excel and Word.
