Regular school hours
Extra driving duties available above and beyond the school day
Substitute positions lead to regular driving routes
If not currently licensed, ability to obtain a commercial driver's license and proper legal credentials.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and maintain control of a school bus with passengers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with parents, students, staff, and administration.
  • Ability to demonstrate and perform defensive driving strategies.
  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Director of Transportation.
Driver Training
  • CPCSC offers paid hourly training.
  • CPCSC reimburses candidates for the following expenses once they have successfully earned their CDL and have driven for CPCSC for one full semester:
    Learner's Permit, CDL, and Skills Test.
Compensation
  • Based on Salary Schedule
  • Regular school hours
  • Extra driving duties available above and beyond the school day
  • Substitute positions lead to regular driving routes
Qualifications
  • Minimum of High School diploma
  • Must be able to pass a background check, have a clean MVR, and pass a DOT physical and drug screen before consideration
