Non CDL Driver – $23.43/Hour

Job Type: Full-Time – Monday–Friday Day Shift

Pay: $23.43 per hour to start; $27.13 per hour after first year

The Non CDL Driver delivers freight between customer locations and terminal docks. You will safely operate a less‑than‑truckload vehicle, load and unload freight, secure cargo and perform inspections.

• Operate a Non CDL vehicle safely while transporting freight between terminals
• Load and unload freight, using dock workers or freight handling equipment where available
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight up to 100 lb
• Secure freight through strapping or other methods
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and ensure safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy
• Execute all duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and all Federal, State and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum age 21
• High school completion or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and 3 years driving experience
• Class C endorsement in Illinois or #2 endorsement in Indiana
• No record of DUI, OWI or reckless driving in the past 5 years
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and DOT physical examination and functional screen
• Pre‑employment drug screen and a negative controlled substance/alcohol result from prior employers for the past 3 years
• Consent to a 10‑year work history check and ability to read, write English and perform simple calculations
• Excellent attendance

• Grip freight up to 100 lb and lift to waist level or 45 in
• Front carry 100 lb for 250 ft; push/pull up to 60 lb horizontal force
• Sitting up to 10 h per day, standing and walking frequently
• Climbing, squatting, crouching, kneeling occasionally; crawling rarely
• Vision, hearing and smell used constantly or occasionally during driving and loading
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, gas, fumes or chemicals may occur
