Job DescriptionThe Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) is seeking a Senior .NET developer to work on developing new CSHCS applications. The Senior Developer is responsible for analyzing existing applications at IDOH and building new web applications. The developer will work with the project manager, other developers, business analysts, and functional team members on the project activities.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Complete project assignments and participate in the full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.
- Collaborate with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes, agency standards, federal and state policies to align with project goals.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Apply object‑oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
- Develop code along with unit testing strategy & plans.
- Use Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported MVC framework with C# programming language to develop applications.
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure the project plan is maintained and milestones are met.
- Collaborate with PM, technical staff, and end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet application needs.
- Work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate with ISDH external partners as needed.
- Consider agency web application architecture and business decisions in design.
EDI experience is a nice to have but not required for this position.
Perform requirements analysis, documentation, and communication of results to the EDI team and program team.
Ensure accurate and appropriate file exchanges with external trading partners and resolve EDI data transmission conflicts.
Provide helpdesk‑level support for EDI claim transactions.
