The position is hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Candidate must be a local Indianapolis resident.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Developer is responsible for analyzing existing applications at the client and building new web applications. The developer will work with the project manager, other developers, business analysts, and functional team members on project activities.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Complete project assignments and participate in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design.
- Work with technical and functional staff on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes and technology, agency standards, federal and state policies to align with project goals.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Use object‑oriented techniques and best practices for design, development, unit testing, and deployment.
- Develop code along with unit testing strategy and plans.
- Use Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported MVC framework, C# programming language to develop applications.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure the project plan is maintained and milestones are met.
- Prototype, refine, test, and debug programs with PM, technical staff, and end users to meet application needs.
- Work independently with minimal guidance and collaborate with ISDH external partners as needed.
- Consider agency web application architecture and business decisions for design.
- Work independently and under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment.
