Blossom House, a licensed Emergency Shelter program operated by VOICES Corporation, is seeking a Youth Residential Specialist to provide structured, trauma-informed care and supervision for youth experiencing crisis. We are seeking professionals who are confident in crisis situations, skilled in documentation, and committed to maintaining a safe, accountable, and therapeutic residential environment.

Position SummaryThe Youth Residential Specialist provides direct care and behavioral support within a licensed residential setting. Specialists implement crisis management plans, reinforce structured programming, maintain compliance documentation, and ensure that VOICES’ Four Pillars of Wellness:
Healed, Educated, Creative, and Disciplined are embedded in daily operations.
Direct Care & Crisis Support
- Provide structured supervision in a residential environment
- Implement Individual Crisis Management Plans
- Support youth in daily living skills (hygiene, routines, accountability)
- Use trauma-informed and de-escalation strategies during behavioral escalations
- Conduct routine safety and wellness checks
- Reinforce house expectations and behavioral accountability systems
- Support structured group activities and skill-building sessions
- Model emotional regulation, leadership, and accountability
- Collaborate with case managers, therapists, DCS, and probation as needed
- Complete accurate and timely shift notes and incident reports
- Maintain documentation in compliance with licensing and VOICES policies
- Participate in QA/QI processes and team meetings
- Support audit readiness and regulatory standards
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3+ years experience working with youth (residential, behavioral health, juvenile justice, or related field)
- Ability to manage crisis situations appropriately
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain structure and boundaries in a residential setting
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must pass local, state, and federal background checks
- Experience in a licensed residential facility
- Behavioral health or trauma-informed care experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field
