Camp Counselor; Weekends

Overview

We are currently looking for someone to work weekends at Camp Bow Wow, a premier dog day and overnight camp. Candidate can work the morning or evening shift only, or both shifts on the weekends (we have split shifts on weekends). You will also have the option of working during the week, as well.

Candidate must have excellent attendance and work ethic. Candidates with poor work attendance need not apply. Ideal candidates must have a true love for dogs. We are caring for live animals.

• Monitor Canine Campers in a Camp environment. Campers are separated by size and temperament. Interact with small and large Canine Campers.
• All Campers are required to pass a Behavioral Evaluation to participate in Camp. We do not allow aggressive dogs, nor dogs with serious health issues. Maintain a clean, safe environment for healthy, social dogs to interact and socialize.
• Assist checking Campers in and out of Camp (tech-savvy and willing to be trained).
• Offer verbal and physical praise to Canine Campers, clean up messes (includes cleaning vomit and diarrhea), prep meals, provide clean, fresh water, administer medications and food additions, and adhere to a rigorous cleaning schedule.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment during heavy volume times.

We have a strict attendance policy and do not tolerate unexcused absences. We are very flexible when scheduling, so requesting time off in advance is very simple. If you are accustomed to missing work, please do not apply.

Ideal candidates will be technologically proficient, but we are willing to train the right person. You must assist with checking Campers in and out of Camp.

We are a family-owned business, and the owners are present on-site regularly.

Job Type: Part-time.

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour.

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week.
