SUMMARYTo improve the viability of the housing development and to improve the quality of life for the residents, by increasing residents’ access to services and by facilitating their participation in programs that enhance their physical, social, and mental well-being.
The Resident Services Coordinator acts on behalf of Herron Property Management in collaboration with the Property Manager and with the supervision of Herron Property Management to develop and implement supportive services as provided by agencies at the assigned development(s). He/she works as a member of the resident services coordination team and is accountable to and supervised by the Vice President of Resident Services.
It is the responsibility of the Resident Services Coordinator to ensure that the needs of the residents are balanced with the priorities and standards of Herron Property Management.

- Develop and implement resident service programming in collaboration with residents, management, and local community service providers.
- Keep documents and update them as required.
- Update the service plan as required.
- Act as a liaison to local human service providers and represent Herron Property Management in the community.
- Coordinate the delivery of services such as rental assistance, transportation, and adult education with local human service providers.
- Maintain all necessary information regarding services to residents.
- Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Support resident efforts in community building initiatives.
- Assist other Herron Property Management staff in understanding and participating in the goals and programs initiated by Resident Services.
- Attend all required meetings and prepare and participate in additional and/or special projects as required from time to time by Herron Property Management.
- Engage in training and conferences as required by Herron Property Management.
Education and experience include, but may not be limited to:
- A college degree OR significant work experience relevant to the position.
- Organizational skills, including attention to detail, planning, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires excellent communications skills including verbal, written, presentation and listening.
- Must exhibit a high level of accountability and good decision-making skills.
- Must demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Must possess a high level of professionalism and must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality as well as maintain a positive, collaborative, and supportive attitude.
- Must have a current driver’s license and a personal vehicle available for use in performing job functions.
- The Resident Services Coordinator position requires a heart to assist and empower property residents and an ability to work in a complex and non-traditional human service setting with a diverse population.
- A combination of education and experience that results in a general knowledge of the human service system and experience working with children and families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly is necessary.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSBasic to moderate math and analytical skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and formulas.
REASONING ABILITYModerate. Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may occasionally involve minor deviations. Needs ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLSProficient in MS Office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be physically able to walk, stoop, kneel, carry and lift to 10 pounds and be able to withstand various temperatures and conditions.
