Midwest Transit Equipment seeks a Full-Time Automotive Installer for our Whitestown, IN location.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an Installer
. The Installer needs to be quick, efficient, and have the ambition to work hard. This position will install cameras, fire extinguishers, seat belts, first aid kits, winter fronts, etc onto school buses. This is an hourly position with the possibility of overtime.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Install components on buses such as fire extinguisher, first aid kits, cameras, seat belts, etc.
  • Install items per the customer’s request and communicate to supervisor or Service Manager of potential problems
  • Must have own hand tools and toolbox (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutter, etc.)
  • Required to frequently lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able work efficiently and neatly
  • Performs installations carefully and accurately the first time without a need for adjustments or re-installations
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist in daily responsibilities of the department
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work as a team or independently as needed
  • Travel to customer sites for repairs as needed
  • Follow all safety and departmental rules
  • Maintain the standard and quality that the company in known for
