Crew Leader DPW

Overview

Position is responsible for planning and leading the job site work effort including; coordination of materials, equipment and crew members.

• Plan and lead the job site work effort including; coordination of materials, equipment and crew members.
• Functions as a working member of the crew, coordinates and leads the functions of the crew.
• Works with crew members to encourage problem solving to create a better work product.
• Reports daily production results and participate as a working crew member.

• Plan and lead the job site work effort including; coordination of materials, equipment and crew members.
• Reports daily production results and participate as a working crew member.
• Skills and knowledge are typically acquired through a High School education or equivalent and at least four (4) years of related work experience.
• A valid Class A CDL Driver’s License is preferred, Class B license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• The ability to lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or more is required.
• May require basic computer operation skill.
• Operates a variety of light and heavy construction equipment, i.e. loaders, back holes, graders, dump trucks, asphalt paver, asphalt planer, and roller, etc.
• Directs supervision of staff.

Independent judgment is regularly utilized when there are no available policies and procedures.
