The Role

CBRE is seeking a Vehicle Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and related equipment. This role ranges from routine services such as oil changes and tire rotations to complex engine, electrical, and system repairs. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, pays close attention to detail, and follows all safety and compliance requirements.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and equipment in accordance with company, regulatory, and safety standards
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles and shop equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and general servicing
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals
  • Service a wide range of equipment including passenger vehicles, trailers, utility vehicles, golf carts, and equipment with air brake systems
  • Test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper operation and quality workmanship
  • Maintain accurate repair logs, service records, and completed work orders
  • Communicate findings, issues, and repair recommendations clearly
  • Use specialized tools, diagnostic software, and repair equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment at all times
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
