HVAC Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician responsible for overseeing the daily work of Service Techs. This role involves working with plumbing, heating, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate should be able to read and understand blueprints, effectively communicate with all personnel on the job site, including subcontractors, and represent the company in a professional manner. The ability to accept direction, lead, and delegate work when necessary is essential.

• Manage day-to-day allocation of labor to ensure jobs are completed in a timely, thorough, and profitable manner.

• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC, hydronic, piping, and control problems.

• Follow up with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction and quality assurance.

• Act as the senior technical support for other Service Techs, answering technical questions and resolving issues.

• Attend job site and office meetings related to assigned projects, prepared to handle any issues that may arise.

• Complete all necessary forms, revisions, and requests for tools, equipment, and materials required for each project.

• Be dependable and available to work in emergency situations as needed.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in installation, service, and construction of HVAC systems.

• Experience with HVAC equipment, controls, and maintenance.

• Ability to perform HVAC installation, service, and repair, particularly in commercial settings.

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis, IN.
