Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe operation of pipeline oriented equipment such as Class 8 tractor-trailers, track-hoe excavators, back-hoes, bulldozers, skid steer loaders and similar equipment. Operator is also accountable for regulatory excavation efforts with other operators.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
- Performs a site review of an area before beginning any excavation work.
- Ensures that the One Call ticket that has been submitted, is current and that the documentation is in hand when excavating.
- Ability to dig for repairs and new installation of any pipeline or pipeline related assets.
- Provides assistance to Pipeliners and Welders in performing tasks.
- Backfills holes, trenches, and areas that have been serviced; grades the repair area.
- Responsible for cleanup of product releases, internal or third party, on company owned property.
- Completes company and customer forms for approval to work.
- Maintains and fuels assigned vehicle and equipment.
- Transports materials and tools to the job site and provides proper accounting of tools.
- Ability to load and unload equipment.
- Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area, and removes all debris from work area.
- Observes all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
High School Diploma or GED is required, along with 5 years of relevant experience operating construction equipment. Employee must have a valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes. A class A CDL is required for this position.

- Active listening skills are needed.
- Must be able to work 12 hr shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work out of town with overnight stays.
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, and lift or push up to 50 lbs.
