PositionSummary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Electrician – Service Technician to join our electrical team. This role is responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical service tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting systems, fire alarms, intercoms, services, and other commercial applications.
- Install commercial electrical components, including safety and distribution systems such as switches, breakers, and panels.
- Inspect and maintain systems to prevent breakdowns; replace old wiring and clean circuits as needed.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace faulty units.
- Use work order systems to track hours, materials, and detailed service notes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company‑assigned vehicles in excellent working condition.
- Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with team members, customers, and vendors.
- Travel locally to job sites as required; vehicle and gas card provided.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training or completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical code and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools (e.g., strippers, voltmeters, drills, conduit benders).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable by company standards.
- Physically capable of performing job duties.
