Maintenance Technician - Refrigeration and HVAC - Bakery

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Hourly Rate: $0.00 per hour + $0.50 shift differential

As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining boilers, air and ammonia compressors, condensers, steam control systems, and fire suppression systems. You will report to the Engineering Manager at our Indianapolis Bakery plant. The pay starts at $32.92 per hour.

• Operate and maintain systems including:
• Ammonia and HVAC
• Chillers and Glycol
• Condensers and water towers
• Evaporators and heat exchangers
• Compressors
• RTUs
• Steam boilers
• Water softeners
• Electrical and gas systems
• Ovens
• Electrical switch gear
• Fire control systems

• Basic mechanical, electrical, and math skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Work onsite at our Indianapolis, IN plant
• Willing to earn certifications including:
• Universal HVAC
• RETA CARO Certification
• Hazmat Emergency Responder designation
• RETA CIRO Certification

• Frequent sitting, talking/hearing, standing, walking, using hands and tools, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting or smelling
• Lifting up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Normal hearing and vision, including color vision
• Potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious illnesses, requiring PPE
• Monitor, rebuild, and repair equipment
• Ascend and descend ladders and platforms
• Distinguish normal from abnormal noises in equipment
• Respond to emergency situations
• Pass a respirator fit test
