OverviewConstructs, installs and maintains general building construction and fittings including but not limited to walls, doors, windows, ceilings, shelving and cabinetry. Works from woodworking or other engineering drawings and sketches, along with verbal instructions. Utilizes a wide variety of power and hand tools to measure, saw, level and nail building materials. Performs basic layout, design, ordering and estimating of jobs. Maintains inventory stock and supplies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in applicable discipline preferred.
Qualifications- Journeyman's card or vocational training preferred.
- Requires knowledge of basic construction methods.
- Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
- Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
- May be required to furnish own hand tools.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
