Fiber Splicer

Position Overview

Our client is hiring Fiber Splicers to assist with a construction management project. Splicers will work underground to locate and splice fiber cable to enhance telecommunications and networking throughout the area.

Onsite – New Carlisle, IN

• Cabling

• Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable, including single-mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon.
• Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
• Review, interpret, and work with maps, drawings, blueprints, and testing documents.
• Perform daily tests, checks, and maintenance on splicing and testing equipment.
• Conduct optical continuity and conformance testing.
• Make splicing rearrangements on existing facilities in buried, underground, aerial, and building work locations.
• Assist with termination cable.
• Run single-mode and multimode products.
• Test fiber optics and troubleshoot any issues.

Contract to Hire based out of New Carlisle, IN.

Pay range: $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
