At Mac Allister Machinery, we provide top-quality service and repair for equipment rentals. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and make a significant impact on our customers' success.

As a field service technician at Mac Allister Machinery, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment malfunctions and failures. You will rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components, ensuring they are operating at their highest performance. Position Summary

This position will perform efficient and thorough mechanical repairs and or maintenance of all rental equipment primarily at customer job sites and occasionally in the shop.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites
• Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components to ensure they meet company standards
• Prepares inspection and appraisal reports
• Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment
• Completes all documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner
• Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
• Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 year or more of work related experience in a technician related position
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have required shop hand tools

Preferred

• Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school
• Valid Class B CDL
• 7 years or more of work related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
