Security Officer – Flex Lobby Screener
Indianapolis, IN

As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will help support day-to-day operations by welcoming associates and visitors, checking credentials and badges, and managing access points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to questions with strong customer service and clear communication.

You may also use a computer and/or tablet to document activity and support loss prevention efforts. Learn more:

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule: Saturday, 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct screening of employees, visitors, and contractors at entry points, including verifying identification, validating access authorization, and directing individuals to the correct check-in process.
  • Perform screening of bags, parcels, and/or deliveries as required, using approved screening methods and maintaining professional, respectful interactions throughout the process.
  • Monitor assigned areas such as entrance lanes, dock doors, and staging areas; report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards to site leadership according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, completing required notifications and written reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
