As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Part Time Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour
Job Schedule: Monday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM;
Tuesday 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

- Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen personnel and visitors entering controlled areas by conducting security-related inspections of bags, packages, and personal items, and by operating screening equipment and/or hand‑held devices as trained.
- Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery or pickup documentation, and coordinate with site contacts to help support proper access to docks, sorting areas, and other restricted spaces.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including reporting unusual activity, assisting with scene control, and completing required security-related notifications.
- Conduct regular and random security-related patrols and observations around the screening area, entry points, and nearby perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
- X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
