Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Driver in Indianapolis, IN
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report concerns, and support a people-first environment through teamwork and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas and perimeter points, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, verify authorization where required, and assist with visitor management and/or contractor check-in per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, dispatching assistance, and following post orders.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and service requests in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
