HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers for the Indianapolis, IN area. All shifts and days are available. This position offers a starting pay of $18.50/hr with weekly pay.

Benefits:
All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match up to 8% for employees working 20 hours a week (minimum 500 hours per year) and having completed six months of service.

Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
  • Must routinely stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
  • Exceptional report‑writing skills.
  • Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure in the area of responsibility.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate information clearly in written form.
Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations
  • You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need, and may work at a specific post or location for several weeks before changing assignments.
  • Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
  • You will be assigned to or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
  • Some shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule; occasionally you may be called with short notice to cover a shift.
  • You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time normally within your availability, you must communicate this with your supervisor.
  • For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of such shifts could negatively impact your employment status.
Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
