Responsibilities

• Provide an overall environment of safety and security, minimizing disruption to patient delivery.
• Manage critical incidents, care of patient valuables, and weapon control.
• Complete property inventory logs and ensure patient valuables are maintained.
• Establish an active security presence, providing surveillance, personal escort, courier service, vehicle assistance, and inspections.
• Respond safely and quickly to all designated Community Health Network locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Current Indiana Driver’s License required.
• One year of security experience in a healthcare or related setting preferred.
• Must obtain Hazmat Certification Level 1 and Indiana License to Carry a Handgun within one year from hire.
• Ability to utilize departmental policy and the Use of Force Continuum guidelines, including AIDET, AVADE de‑escalation skills, Defensive Tactics, Pepper Spray, TASER, citizen arrest.
• Strong interpersonal skills, well‑communicated orally and in writing.
• Basic computer functions and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Leadership, organizational, and stress‑management skills.
• Detail‑oriented and can work under stressful situations.
