Mass Spectrometer Specialist – III

Responsibilities- Start routine analyses on LCMS systems in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform complex analyses using new methods and technologies, seeking scientific guidance as needed.
- Document work and maintain study documentation, laboratory records, and QC review of data according to regulatory practices.
- Operate laboratory equipment, including system set‑up and general maintenance as directed by SOP.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, submit work orders or maintenance requests, and lead troubleshooting experiments.
- Provide input and participate in project meetings, including planning, monitoring, and guiding project work.
- Inform Study Director, Lead Scientist, or management of any problems or deviations that may affect data integrity and participate in corrective actions.
- Contribute to a cohesive team environment, plan daily workload in coordination with team members, and manage multiple assignments.
- Lead or co‑lead process improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment.
- Author or provide peer review for policies, SOPs, guides, and new processes to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Act as subject‑matter expert in high‑pressure liquid chromatography systems, mass spectrometers, or site processes.
- Train, mentor, or assist less experienced staff and participate in client visits, communicating method or technical information as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
High degree of experience with troubleshooting mass spectrometry equipment and LIMS experience is desired.
Minimum Requirements- 5‑7 years of related or relevant laboratory experience.
- Advanced experience with high‑pressure liquid chromatography systems and mass spectrometers.
- Experience with other laboratory equipment, electronic lab notebook systems, and LIMS.
- Good communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field.
- Relevant laboratory experience may be substituted for education.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).

Pay Range$30 – $34 per hour
BenefitsEmployees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only.
