What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Sell public safety software solutions, including computer-aided dispatch and records management, to new customers
  • Develop customer relationships through phone contact, personal visits, and software demonstrations
  • Capture new business within large-tier agencies by proactively influencing projects before they formalize
  • Participate in on-site product presentations and collaborate with state and local officials on projects
  • Maintain a strong presence in territory with moderate to high travel, engaging with customers 50-65% of the time
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience or 8+ years of sales/public safety experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with public safety software application systems or state and local government sales
  • Proven ability to articulate and sell enterprise software solutions
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience in technical sales or the computer software industry
  • Background in selling to multiple levels and project stakeholders
  • Familiarity with large ticket products and long sales cycles
  • Entrepreneurial experience and a "builder" attitude
  • Strong presentation and persuasive communication skills
