Job Description

Kokosing Industrial is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support visibility and engagement within the Water & Wastewater and/or Industrial & Power markets. The role executes business‑development plans, prospects new clients, nurtures existing relationships, attends industry events, leads proposal efforts, and manages contacts and leads using a CRM.

Desired Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in the water/wastewater industry (5+ years preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, construction management or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics, preferred but not required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Excel in a collaborative, team environment where every voice matters
  • Execute the Business Development Plan for assigned areas
  • Service the existing client base and maintain relationships
  • Identify potential clients through research and relationship building
  • Maintain a comprehensive CRM data set (leads, opportunities, contacts, companies, competitors)
  • Coordinate meetings between client decision‑makers and the company’s practice leaders
  • Support proposal development, including proposal approach, schedule, task assignments, and production management
  • Attend industry events to expand network and promote Kokosing
  • Participate in key industry groups at local, state, and national levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned
