Overview
Picture your weekday starting at 7:00 am. You check your route plan, load coffee, tea, and related products, and head out to keep your customers in stock and their beverage stations on point. As a route relief pro, you step in where needed, making sure every stop gets great service and every station meets our standards.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, with overtime when needed.
Driving Requirements- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical.
- Sell and deliver coffee, tea, and related products to assigned customers.
- Provide route relief as needed; ensure every customer on the daily set schedule receives delivery and service.
- Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products at each call.
- Keep equipment clean and operational, conducting at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
- Escalate customer issues promptly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route.
- Grow Revenue per Stop by closing distribution voids on core items, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and maintaining stations to standard.
- Report any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction, or new opportunities to the ASM while running route relief.
- Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer matters as assigned.
- Learn brewing equipment and perform basic repairs or adjustments.
- Consistently follow the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell); make sales calls when time and opportunity allow.
- Pitch in as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Route delivery experience a plus.
- Customer service background preferred.
- Previous food service industry experience desired.
- Clean, strong driving record.
- Mechanical aptitude with company hardware and software.
- Able to assess customer needs and communicate effectively using active listening.
- Fully supports business goals; uses sound business judgment.
- Identifies issues, problems, and opportunities quickly.
- Self-aware and mindful of impact on others; builds rapport and cooperative relationships.
- Proactive, growth-minded, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong decision-making skills; effective with customers and colleagues.

To account for cost-of-living differences, we apply location-based salary adjustments. Employees working in higher-cost cities may receive a geographical pay premium, which is determined based on market data and local economic factors.
