Are you looking to grow within an established and innovative company? Cornerstone Controls is seeking a motivated, detail oriented Inside Sales Support Associate to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you'll support the inside sales team by handling order entry, parts ordering, and preparing proposals and quotes, playing a key role in driving business success.
Key Responsibilities- Order Entry & Project Support:
- Accurately enter sales orders and assist with quoting activities. Manage multiple incoming sales requests, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Proposal & Quote Preparation:
- Support the sales, engineering, and project management teams by creating accurate, customer‑ready quotes and proposals for materials and services.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration: - Work closely with internal teams (sales, engineering, procurement, and project management) to ensure alignment on customer requirements and project details.
- Customer Interaction:
- Engage with internal and external customers to clarify order details, resolve issues, and ensure smooth order processing.
- Problem‑Solving:
- Identify and resolve order‑related challenges, prioritize tasks effectively, and elevate complex issues when needed.
- Process Improvement:
- Recommend and support initiatives to streamline quoting and order entry processes, enhancing accuracy, speed, and overall efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent. Certifications in customer service or order management are a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years in customer service, sales support, or order entry; preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with industrial automation or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Technical
Skills: - Proficient in CRM systems and order management software
- Ability to interpret bills of materials and technical specifications
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities
- Customer‑focused mindset with a professional attitude
- Experience working in high‑volume order entry or quoting environments
- Knowledge of IFS or similar ERP systems
- Certifications in CRM or order management tools
- Associate’s degree or higher in an engineering or technology‑related field
