Lushin is an employee‑owned, Indianapolis‑based sales and sales management consulting firm with a 25‑year history of helping companies grow with purpose, accountability, and clarity. We are expanding our growth team and looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build a pipeline and create new qualified opportunities for our consultants.
This is a top‑of‑funnel role — you will identify, engage, qualify, and book meetings with CEOs and business owners who are struggling with sales performance, culture, consistency, or revenue growth.

As a BDR, your mission is to open the right doors with the right prospects
. You will create first conversations with executives, uncover potential business pain, and hand off qualified opportunities to our consulting team.
You’ll use a mix of outbound calling, social outreach (especially Linked In), referral development, and targeted prospecting campaigns.
This is not a marketing MQL intake role — you will hunt

- Prospect through outbound calls, networking, email, Linked In, and referrals
- Qualify business pain and prioritize fit before advancing prospects
- Book first‑time appointments for the consulting team
- Consistently work a structured cadence and prospecting rhythm
- Track and report activity and pipeline inside Hub Spot
- Collaborate with consultants to improve messaging pression and outreach
- Participate in weekly skill development and coaching
- You are competitive, resilient, and comfortable with rejection
- You are motivated by achievement and measurable targets
- You don’t wait for leads — you create your own opportunities
- You are coachable, self‑aware, and take ownership for your results
- You communicate well with executives and business owners
- You are confident on the phone and on Linked In
- You have the curiosity to uncover whether a prospect actually needs help — not just pitch
- Proven experience in outbound prospecting or lead generation
- A track record of hitting or exceeding sales activity/meeting metrics
- Experience generating your own leads (not just closing inbound)
- Selling to CEO/Owner‑level buyers preferred
- Experience using Linked In for prospecting preferred
- Experience with conceptual or service‑based selling is a bonus
- Base + commissions
- Year 1 OTE: $90holung–138,000
- Clear path to promotion into Consultant track ($200,000+ long‑term)
