General Warehouse Associate – Receiving Associate 1st Shift

Starting at: $17.00 per hour

• Perform team lead functions.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• Build pallets accurately according to pick tickets.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks.
• Meet department goals for throw rate.
• Maintain proper floor space for loaders.
• Show excellent attention to detail.
• Locate all physical locations.
• Verify quantity, item, and description.
• Perform arithmetic operations and use a calculator if needed.
• Use handheld device (RF unit) and computer.
• Identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and communicate in timely fashion.
• Communicate with manager to rectify problems such as incorrect or insufficient stock.
• Follow administration, confidentiality, safety, and security procedures and standards.
• Promote an environment focused on customer service, safety, diversity, and teamwork.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Key in data, type, and operate computer keyboard.
• Work in cold winter and hot summer temperatures.
• Work flexible hours and alternate shifts with limited notice.
• Stand, stoop, lift, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
• Lift boxes up to 50 pounds and remain on feet entire shift.
• Ascend staircases and perform work on elevated platforms.
• Experience with fork truck/reach truck/rider walkie helpful.
• Knowledge of warehouse order picking processes helpful.
