Meat Cutter/Manager – Full Time – New Palestine

Fresh Encounter, Inc. is seeking a Meat Cutter/Manager to operate and manage meat production and customer service.

• Wait on customers promptly, courteously, and accurately, maintaining good customer relations.
• Prepare, handle, store and/or stock all fresh meat products received.
• Rotate all meat products on a first‑in, first‑out basis.
• Ensure all meat products are stored in proper refrigeration.
• Stock and service pre‑packed meat and service meat cases within manager guidelines.
• Prepare special order requests.
• Follow store and company health and sanitation standards.
• Follow the regular cleaning schedule for equipment and cases.
• Change prices as requested.
• Use weights and measurements standards and proper container/packaging materials.
• Perform freshness checks and re‑condition product.
• Maintain courteous and friendly customer relations.

• Operate slicers, scales, mechanical price marking devices, knives, and safety cutters.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, and mopping functions.
• Operate telephones and intercoms and practice proper etiquette.
• Follow all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Self‑starter with strong initiative.
• Ability to read and write.
• Basic arithmetic skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Provide verbal and physical assistance to customers.
• Lift and stack up to 100 pounds.
• Pull or push wheeled vehicles up to 1,000 pounds.
• Good interpersonal skills, mature, proven leadership.
• Reach and stock product up to 6 ft. high.
• Prior meat cutter experience preferred.
