Position SummaryWe are looking for people who take pride in their work to join our team. You help shape our member’s entire shopping experience by giving them a positive first and last impression. In the member assist – cart attendant role, you are responsible for ensuring members see a well‑kept parking lot which includes helping members with their purchases, and ensuring there are carts ready and available.
You will also assist our members helping them load their vehicles and support creating a great member experience. This means you are constantly on your feet and on the go. Rain or shine, sleet or snow, our members count on you.

- Ensuring club pick‑up orders are filled by contacting members to notify when pickup time is delayed; informing members when products are unavailable; offering alternative product options when needed; ensuring products are selected and packaged according to company policies and procedures; ensuring items are dispensed when members arrive for pickup; resolving member issues and concerns; promoting the company’s products and services
- Maintaining safety of the facility according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps, following procedures for handling merchandise, and reporting unsafe situations to management
- Providing member service by acknowledging the member, identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, processing purchases, handling payments per policy, using cash registers, locating and organizing merchandise, zoning areas, resolving issues, promoting products, maintaining carts and flatbeds, assisting with transportation, using cart‑retrieval equipment, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness
- Complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices
- Completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress; recommending improvement opportunities; and adapting to change, difficulties, and feedback

Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Live Better U is a company‑paid education benefit program for full‑time and part‑time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short‑form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
