Pay Range

$16 – $18 per hour.

Sign‑On Bonus

$750 sign‑on bonus, paid in three equal payments: payment 1 processes 30 days after hire, payment 2 processes 60 days after hire, and payment 3 processes 90 days after hire. To be eligible, the new hire must remain employed.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete all training requirements, including the Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan, Food Safety Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
  • Create a high‑performance culture and coach team members to meet all company standards.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to the General Manager.
  • Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints in a friendly, respectful manner.
  • Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy morale through recognition and leading by example.
  • Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet them.
  • Delegate tasks, supervise performance, and maintain operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all franchise, company policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain service, product quality, and cleanliness standards consistently.
  • Enhance guest experiences by exceeding expectations.
  • Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure proper stocking, and complete daily inventory counts.
  • Manage food production, monitor prep, cooking, and holding processes, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Track food safety and quality throughout the shift to ensure accurate orders.
  • Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
  • Collaborate with management to develop goals and report progress.
  • Follow company cash‑management policies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Utilize management tools and keep accurate records.
  • Show flexibility to perform above the parameters of this position.
  • Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines.
  • Immediately report human resources and risk concerns to the General Manager and District Manager.
  • Escalate other concerns to supervisor when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly.
Job Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Available to work 9–28 hours per week.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of background check.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
Capability Requirements
  • Sit, stand, and walk continuously.
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including use of ladders.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead.
  • Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation.
  • Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing.
  • Maintain effective audio‑visual discrimination and perception.
  • Work in an environment featuring hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens.
  • Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment, including knives, fryers, and other hazardous equipment.
