Ready to make a real difference?Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated, and detail-oriented Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you would prepare meals from scratch, cook items in batches, load food carts, and maintain the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
Shifts Available- Monday-Friday 10:00 a‑6:30 p + 2 weekends/month (Saturday & Sunday)
- Starting pay: $15.25 – $17.00 /hour based on experience

- Prepare and provide all meals for clients and staff
- Accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety
- Maintain kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner
- Take pride and ownership of Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas to improve client wellbeing
- At least 18 years old
- Prior experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred, but not required
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred
- Successfully complete pre‑employment screening and physical exam
- Meet and maintain Damar’s background screening requirements
- Clear of felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal offenses
Primary physical functions require sufficient ability and mobility to work in a kitchen setting. Tasks include standing or sitting for prolonged periods, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating kitchen equipment with repetitive hand movements. The role also requires occasional travel to other locations and verbal communication with coworkers.
