Purification Scientist Entry Level

Job Description

Join a protein sciences team where you’ll support automated purification runs, analytical testing, and documentation in a fast‑paced laboratory environment. This role offers hands‑on experience with industry‑standard purification systems and analytical platforms.

• Run automated protein purifications using chromatography
  , TFF
  , and ÄKTA systems
• Analyze protein samples using Agilent HPLC and SDS‑PAGE
• Perform routine measurements:
  pH
  , UV‑Vis
  , HPLC

• Prepare buffers and solutions
• Maintain equipment, including cleaning and CIP of ÄKTA systems
• Track inventory and support general lab upkeep

• Record work in electronic lab notebooks
• Document assay data and support study report preparation
• Participate in investigations and ensure compliance with GLP and internal policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Availability to start as soon as possible (2 weeks - ~1 month from offer)
• Authorization to work in the US indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Strong foundation in scientific principles and basic lab operations

• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Comfortable managing tasks, organizing work, and maintaining accurate data
• Interest in continuous learning and delivering high‑quality results

• Position is full‑time,
  Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - overtime as required.
• May be required to respond to off‑shift operational issues.
• Pay range: $21.00 - $23.00
• Tasks require repetitive motion and standing for long periods of time.
