Company is seeking motivated candidates with strong organizational skills to join our dynamic Crop Protection Discovery Group, as a Laboratory Technician within the Biology Mode of Action and Bioanalytical Center of Expertise team. The biologist will contribute to our goal of providing novel, sustainable solutions to benefit farmers and consumers. The successful candidate must also be able to work in a team environment, across scientific disciplines, and be capable of clearly communicating to stakeholders.

• This position involves working in a laboratory setting, conducting experiments, handling laboratory equipment and it is 100% site based
• Routine research laboratory specific activities might be different based on the different CPD&D areas
• Candidates should expect to support cell culture work, media prep, microbiology activities, and aseptic technique
• Ability to follow instructions/methods, the ability to follow a workflow chart to its conclusion
• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills, and the ability to successfully work in a dynamic group environment
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly laboratory activities, such as monitoring of equipment, periodic laboratory cleaning and managing central supply stocks/reagents, laboratory waste and general lab maintenance
• Document work in an electronic laboratory notebook
• An understanding of the Corteva Agriscience safety culture including personal protective equipment and waste streams will be an expectation of this role

• B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (Preferably life sciences, agriculture, plant science, etc.)
• 6+ months of experience working in a laboratory setting performing cell culture (School or Professional)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to analyze and interpret data using various software tools

• Experience with data entry and data management
• Cell culture and aseptic technique
• Experience preparing media recipes
• Experience with microbiology

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
