LCMS Method Development Scientist III
Join our bioanalytical team in Indianapolis, IN. Labcorp is a global life science contract research organization that provides comprehensive laboratory testing and drug development services to the pharmaceutical industry.
As a Method Development Scientist, you will perform method development for a variety of molecules in multiple species and matrices, serve as the scientific lead for troubleshooting and cross‑group support, and act as the scientific expert to the broader business.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake original research that includes developing and confirming highly sensitive, reliable assay methodologies for the rapid and accurate analysis of pharmaceuticals in biological fluids and tissues.
- Perform complex analytical methods on biological matrices, often involving problem‑solving situations.
- Apply and interpret scientific theories, concepts, techniques, and regulatory requirements in bioanalytical and mass spectrometry studies.
- Act as a research scientist in a team setting, providing technical direction on complex bioanalytical and mass spectrometry projects.
- Respond to unscheduled deadlines, client needs, and crises without neglecting other duties.
- Produce reports for reliable, sensitive, and validated analyses.
- Author scientific papers published in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Participate in client visits.
- Contribute to long‑range planning and technical policies of the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- PhD in analytical chemistry, or equivalent degree, with ~2 years of related experience; education may be substituted for experience.
- Experience and knowledge of analytical instrumentation (e.g., HPLC, LC/MS/MS).
- Proven track record of analytical method development.
- Skilled in conducting research, compiling data, interpreting data, and writing reports according to regulatory requirements.
- Skilled in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications.
- Knowledge of laboratory automation software, system software, and Microsoft applications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Working experience with oligo, ADC, and related method development is highly desired.
- Overtime and weekend work as required.
- Mandatory immunization and screening as required.
- Attendance at technical conferences and exhibits as required.
- May work with potentially hazardous substances.

Pay Range$62,000 - $155,000
BenefitsEmployees scheduled for 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan.
