The Job: The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control procedures across a company, ensuring that all products and services consistently meet established standards by monitoring production processes, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement to maintain high quality output and customer satisfaction. They typically develop and enforce quality standards, train staff on quality procedures, and report on quality metrics to leadership.
You’ll get to:
- Track and deliver exceptional quality and performance improvements across critical KPIs and development.
- Support the Site with management of Quality Audits, Quality Holds, Rework Plans and Corrective Actions to install strong Quality process control. Leverage Quality Assurance procedures and Control Plan (IQC, IPQC and FQA, control of non‑conforming materials).
- Lead / Collaborate and Support QMS Workstream including consistent review and analysis.
- Ensure internal and external audits and corrective actions are completed on schedule, reported and addressed in a timely manner.
- Engage in customer complaint and problem‑solving issues.
- Identify areas for opportunity and work with respective cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and change management principles/activity.
- Responsible for Site reduction of the Cost of Poor Quality while improving quality performance.
- Drive best practices resulting in productivity and KPI improvement.
- Support and drive Quality Initiatives.
- Drive Quality Systems that lead to Preventative Controls for Robust Process Results.
- Leverage industry standard and SBD preferred best practices to drive continuous improvement across internal manufacturing processes throughout the Site.
The Person:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality/Reliability).
- Minimum of 3 years of quality management experience within ISO manufacturing environment.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred, willingness to obtain the certification during employment.
- Thorough understanding of quality management principles, methodologies and industry standards.
- Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills and strong attention to detail are required.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 and Automotive (IATF/AIAG).
- Experience with Quality Assurance Processes and New Product Development.
- Ability to understand and utilize standard quality tools.
- Willingness to travel & communicate both domestically and globally about 20%.
