Responsibilities
  • Provide guest services for guests of the restaurant.
  • Receive cash or credit card from customers in payment for goods or services.
  • Computes bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, makes change, and issues receipt.
  • May berequiredto know value of menu items.
  • May give cash refunds or credit memorandums as directed by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Greetsand seats patrons.
  • Coordinates and controls the flow of the Restaurant.
  • Assigns stations to servers and bus persons.
  • Supervises the restaurant during the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager.
  • Interacts between Service Staff and Patrons when difficult situations arise.
  • Ensures that Service Quality and Standards are followed.
  • Answertelephonein a professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Able tooperatea point of sale (POS) System and/or adding machine and make change.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Adequate mathematical skills and the ability to understand andutilizea POS system/count money and provide change.
  • Able to work varied shifts and hours.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, anddemonstratessuperior customer servicein accordance with department and company standards and programs.
