- Review and disposition supplier rejects from both incoming quality inspection and production floor.
- Investigate critical supplier quality issues, create problem statements and communicate to the cross-functional team.
- Manage and coordinate containment activities (sorting/rework) to minimize production downtime due to supplier quality issues.
- Support problem solving and continuous improvement projects from the supplier quality side.
- Manage deviation and process change requests from suppliers. Review and follow up supplier PPAPs. Support NPI projects.
- Manage supplier performance data and financial chargebacks for incurred costs from supplier quality issues.
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to investigate supplier quality issues and ensure issues are well defined and communicated to the cross-functional team.
- Assess the impact of supplier issues and coordinate with Supplier, Production Planning and Logistics teams to mitigate production line downtime risk.
- Disposit ion defective supplier parts and coordinate return and rework with suppliers and 3rd party service companies.
- Assist root cause analysis and provide fact-based information to concerned parties for problem solving.
- Manage deviations and process change requests from suppliers, review PPAPs, and support NPI projects.
- Years of experience: 2-4 years in the manufacturing industry.
- Degree requirement:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. - Internships as job experience:
