PhD Position in Corporate Governance with a focus on Compensation and Leadership (m/f/d)

We are seeking a doctoral candidate to conduct research in Compensation and Leadership under Prof. Michèle

F. Sutter‑Rüdisser at the Institute of Law & Economics, University of St.Gallen.

• Participate in innovative research and publication.
• Develop and organize partner activities within the Network for Innovative Corporate Governance (NICG).
• Engage and support teaching activities.

• Passion for Corporate Governance with a focus on Compensation and Leadership.
• Intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellence in research.
• Strong analytical thinking and goal‑oriented approach.
• Master’s degree in business or related field with excellent grades (or about to complete). Practical experience through internships or professional experience is a plus.
• Good communication and presentation skills in German and/or English (native language preferred).

• Dedicated and supportive team, flat hierarchies, entrepreneurial spirit.
• 6‑month internship with HCM in Zurich to gain practical expertise.
• High degree of research and project responsibility within the NICG–HCM team.
• Enrollment in the Graduate PhD Programme in Management at the University of St. Gallen.
• Dual affiliation with the Institute of Law and Economics (ILE‑HSG) and HCM International Ltd.
