PC Maintenance Cage

Production Maintenance: Implements and performs preventative maintenance on equipment or facilities in the layer or pullet farm areas. Also, this person must be willing to assist other departments as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (non-exclusive list):

• Responsible for implementing and documenting preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for helping repair any equipment.
• Ensures all duties are performed according to all the company's available safety programs.
• Must be available to work in other departments as needed.
• Must inform management if departments are not keeping adequate equipment supplies on hand for replacement or repair.
• Must be responsible for informing management if areas are discovered which pose a hazard to employees or the chickens themselves.
• Responsible for ensuring that all clothing worn to work each day, including shoes, have been properly disinfected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess good writing and arithmetic skills.
• Capable of performing maintenance on a variety of equipment. (

• Must possess good communication skills and a working knowledge of the English language.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Capable of maintaining a flexible schedule, and able to work late when needed, and able to work weekends and holidays whenever needed.
• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, and to deal with stressful situations and still get the job complete.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for long periods of time on concrete floors. Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift frequently.
• Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's employment policies.
• Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.
