Activity Assistant Opportunity at Willowdale Village

The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.

Responsibilities
  • Creativity
    :
    Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Supportive Presence
    :
    Connect with residents, understanding their emotional and social needs.
  • Teamwork
    :
    Work with the care team to support residents holistically and achieve excellent care outcomes.
  • Time Management
    :
    Balance daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity preparation.
Requirements
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers and staff.
    Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State. This training can also be provided by the community.
