Midwest Center for Youth & Families, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), has been providing psychiatric treatment for youth since 1997. The organization operates a 74‑bed, fully accredited private residential treatment facility in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN. The Director of Nursing provides strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing services within this behavioral health setting.
Responsibilities- Ensure safe, compassionate, trauma‑informed, evidence‑based psychiatric care.
- Manage nursing operations and support staff development.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative leadership to optimize patient outcomes and overall patient experience.
- Maintain clinical and educational support from corporate while managing the facility independently.
- Participate in the Nursing Council for shared governance and evidence‑based practice.
- Execute the COO‑in‑Training program and pursue regional and national corporate roles.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school (required);
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Indiana RN license.
- Minimum five years experience in the behavioral health field.
- At least two years supervisory experience.
