In this role, you’ll provide nursing services across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, crisis centers, residential programs, primary care, and community-based care. As a Float Nurse, you’ll bring your expertise to where it’s needed most—supporting patients in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and medical care.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Perform nursing assessments, screenings, and vital signs per service line requirements.
* Monitor health status and coordinate care with treatment teams.
* Create action plans addressing physical and mental health treatment needs.
* Provide disease prevention, risk reduction, and health education.
* Arrange and monitor medical appointments, including hospital discharge coordination.
* Administer and oversee administration of medications according to service line requirements.
* Monitor medication compliance, side effects, and consult with providers as necessary.
* Assist physicians/advanced practice providers with exams and procedures.
* Draw labs, review lab results, and communicate findings to treatment teams.
* Coordinate medication needs with pharmacies and utilize indigent drug programs.
* Document all services in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
* Respond calmly and professionally to crises and emergencies.
* Serve as a role model of compassionate, patient-centered care.
* Participate in required training, team meetings, and quality assurance processes.
* Other duties as assigned by leadership.
** Education and/or Experience

Qualifications:

*** Current licensure in the state of Indiana as one of the following:  +
** Registered Nurse (RN)**  +
** Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
*** Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
* Must be willing to become licensed in additional states as needed.
* Must be willing and comfortable providing telehealth services (training provided).
* FQHC: BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
** Required License/Certification (one of the following):
*** Registered Nurse (RN), State of Indiana
* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), State of Indiana
*
* Additional Qualifications:

*** Strong clinical judgment, time management, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work flexibly across service lines and settings.
* Effective communication skills (in-person, phone, and video conferencing).
* Knowledge of behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations.
