IU Health's Adult Medical Liver/GI unit at University Hospital is fast-paced and highly specialized. This unit treats patients with chronic liver disease, pancreatitis, pre/post liver and kidney transplant patients, and patients who have undergone ERCP procedures. Our nurses use critical thinking to support high acuity patients. Nurses will build upon skills such as IV insertion, NG placement, G, J, GJ tubes, enteral/parental feeds, etc.

- Patient and family education

- Multitasking and prioritization
Qualifications:
- Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN);
Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
